Senior Centre Nutrition Program
The Senior Centre serves lunches every Monday through Friday at noon. A donation of $6 is requested, and reservations must be made by 1 p.m. on the previous day. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
FREE Tech Time: From 11 a.m. to noon on Fridays, Laura from the Manlius Library will be at the Centre giving free one-on-one instruction for your electronic devices. Appointments are required. To book a 30-minute slot, please please sign up at the senior centre office, send us an email (mscseniors@aol.com) or call us at: 315-682-7889. Drop-ins are welcome if the are no appointments scheduled.
Veterans Coffee Hour
The MSAC would like to invite veterans from all branches of service to join us at 9:30 a.m. for coffee, refreshments and conversation, as well as guest speakers, on the following days: Friday, March 3, and Friday, April 14.
On April 14, a representative from Veterans Affairs (VA) will visit to provide an overview of the VA's healthcare services and programs, as well as specific programs for seniors.
All senior veterans are encouraged are invited to attend, regardless of MSAC membership. Registration is required. Please call the office at 315-682-7889, or stop by the Centre. We look forward to seeing you there!
Gathering for Grief and Loneliness
Join us Friday, March 31, and Friday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m., by the fireplace for our new grief support group. The group will be led by Jill Desormeau, a Syracuse University graduate with a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology. This group is for members who have lost a loved one and would like to connect with others who have experienced a similar loss. The group will discuss coping with everyday life without their loved one, as well understanding the grief process and emotions that come with with it. Please RSVP by calling (315-682-7889) or stopping by the office.
